prezzel of passion

I was just going downstairs to get another bottle of water when I heard my mother crying. I stepped into the living room to find my brother sitting on the couch looking at her my mother while she was sitting on a chair crying.
One and a half years ago my brother made a nice remark about my emotions being as cold as ice at some point. This is not the first time where I saw him inside a room with a crying person and him doing nothing at all. (I was the crying person more than once)
I respect my brother and I love him but that makes me so angry. Isn't he able to comfort people? Because that was my immediate response (as it always is when I see someone cry). I went over to my mum and hugged her and tried to comfort her, talk to her.

This just seems completely wrong.... and it kind of makes me feel sick.
